Explore Oroville, California

Oroville is situated on the banks of the Feather River where it flows out of the Sierra Nevada onto the flat floor of the California Central Valley.

Recreational opportunities are abundant, considering the city's access to Lake Oroville and the Feather River. The lake includes 167 miles of shoreline and is great for water skiing, sailing, jet skiing, and houseboating, while the river is a popular fishing spot for salmon, sturgeon, bass and steelhead. Also, you can go biking on the 41 mile Brad Freeman Bike Trail that runs along the Feather River up to the Dam, back down through the city, then out to the forebay and afterbay.

The Oroville Dam is one of the 20 largest dams in the world, the largest earth filled dam in the U.S., as well as the tallest dam in the U.S.
